Always an involved member Michael began his national presence as a member of the newly formed Apprentice Task Force put into place by then President Roger Warren in 2005. This Task Force quickly became the National Apprentice Committee by then President Brian Whitcomb.

Michael is a member centric PGA Professional who believes strongly in the member and their ability to lead through instruction, playing and nurturing the game. Michael has been a steady voice on a number of key issues within the industry and a very involved member of the PGA of America’s National Board of Directors. A consistent participant at the PGA of America’s National Meetings Michael is often seen as an advocate for innovation and change. However, it will not be lost on many that Michael believes greatly in the history and traditions of the PGA of America and the game.

Michael prides himself on being open minded and well researched on the issues that face our Association and its PGA Professionals. He is committed to ensuring our decision making is process driven and includes our PGA Section Officers, their Boards of Directors, and Executive Directors. Michael states, “I’ve always believed our greatest strength lies in our ability to listen and find compromise on the issues that face our PGA Professionals and their everyday lives. There is no greater voice for the membership than through those who serve as PGA Officers and Board Members of our 41 Sections. Their voice is from the grassroots of our working professionals and should weigh greatly in our decision making at every level of governance.
